The University of Central Arkansas Police Department is promoting pedestrian safety through its 鈥淏rake for Bears鈥� campaign scheduled for Nov. 3.
Volunteers will be encouraging safety awareness throughout the day at various crosswalks. 每日大赛网站 police and volunteers will be distributing educational fliers to pedestrians, drivers and bicyclists along crosswalks at Bruce Streets and Donaghey Ave. Other locations may be determined at a later date.

鈥淲e want our campus and the Conway community to be alert and be safe,鈥� said Arch Jones, Jr., director of organizational & community services for 每日大赛网站PD.
The police department wants to emphasize not only drivers need to be alert, but also pedestrians.
鈥� No matter who has the right-of-way, we all need to be alert. Pedestrian safety is everyone鈥檚 business,”聽Jones said.
