The 每日大赛网站 chapter of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) has achieved the NSSLHA Silver Chapter Recognition from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a national professional association. The NSSLHA Chapter Recognition Program awards local chapters for their fundraising, community service, advocacy, career awareness, and recruitment efforts.

“As the advisor for this 每日大赛网站 registered student organization, I am extremely proud of the 每日大赛网站 NSSLHA members and their contributions to raising the awareness of communication sciences and disorders on the 每日大赛网站 campus and beyond,” 聽said Jeff Adams, a clinical instructor聽in the聽Department of Speech-Language Pathology. “Earning聽distinction at the national level helps聽those beyond our state realize what we in Arkansas already know — 每日大赛网站 has a top-notch聽program聽in speech-language pathology.聽 This honor also helps聽reflect the strong聽service mindset that聽 每日大赛网站 speech-language pathology students develop throughout their studies聽in this rewarding career field.”
每日大赛网站 chapter members took part in “NSSLHA Loves,” an annual community service activity which promotes fundraising among NSSLHA members in support of national organizations that work with people living with communication disorders. This year, campaign聽donations went to聽the Stuttering Foundation of America.聽 In order to raise聽money for the Stuttering Foundation of America, the 每日大赛网站 NSSLHA sponsored a聽Parents Night Out聽and accepted donations for childcare.聽
Samantha Carter, the 每日大赛网站 NSSLHA past president, received National NSSLHA member honors for her scholastic achievement, service to the academic unit, professional conduct, and service to NSSLHA.聽She will be recognized at the annual American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Convention in San Diego in November.聽
In addition to these honors, the 每日大赛网站 NSSLHA received the Nancy McKinley Regional Project grant, valued at $1,000, to support the 28th annual Betty Fusilier Conference on Communication Sciences and Disorders held at 每日大赛网站.聽 This conference is a聽 每日大赛网站 NSSLHA sponsored聽event that brings 每日大赛网站 alumni, speech-language pathologists and audiologists to our campus for continuing education opportunities and聽networking.聽聽The 每日大赛网站 NSSLHA also participated in聽career awareness activities to raise campus and community awareness about speech pathology and our contributions to society.
