Housing Charges
Living in on-campus housing comes with associated charges, however, there are times that additional fees can be added to a student’s account during their stay in on-campus housing.
Students have 30 days to dispute any charges placed on their account. Any dispute requests submitted after the 30 day window will not be processed and the student will be liable for the charges on their account.
Lockout Charges
When a student locks themself out of their room, they will be charge a lockout fee. A student’s first lockout is free of charge. The consecutive lockouts will be charged at the following rates:
- 1st lockout – free
- 2nd lockout – $25
- 3rd lockout – $50
- 4th lockout – $100
Any lockout past the 4th lockout will be charged $100 per occurrence.
Recore Charges
Students that lose their key will be subject to a doorknob recore. This is a safety protocol that 每日大赛网站 Housing implements to keep our residence halls and apartments safe for the students!
- Traditional Residence Hall recore charges are $55
- Apartment and Suite-style recore charges are $125
Improper Check-In Charges
Students arriving to 每日大赛网站 Housing are required to complete steps in order to check-in to their on-campus housing properly. Failure to complete these steps will result in an improper check-in charge. Students must complete a Housing application by going to my.uca.edu in their MyHousing Portal under the ‘Apply for Housing’ tab, be assigned a room and move-in at the correct date and time.
- $50 charge for failure to complete a Housing application
- $50 charge for failure to be assigned before arriving (you must have a Housing application before you are assigned)
- $50 charge for failure to arrive during your correct move-in date and time
Improper Check-Out Charges
Students leaving 每日大赛网站 Housing are required to complete steps in order to check-out of their on-campus housing. Failure to complete these steps will result in an improper check-out charge. Students must return their key in a completed and sealed key envelope to their residence hall/apartment’s key box outside of the Resident Coordinator’s Office and immediately after they return their key, students must complete the ‘Leave 每日大赛网站 Housing’ form on my.uca.edu in their MyHousing Portal under the ‘My Room’ tab.
- $50 charge for failure to complete the ‘Leave 每日大赛网站 Housing’ online form immediately are returning their on-campus housing key to the appropriate hall/apartment key box
- $50 charge for failure to return their key to the hall/apartment key box
Contract Buyout Fee
Students that leave on-campus housing prior to the end of the Housing leasing term will be charged the Contract Buyout Fee of $425. Freshmen students are not eligible to appeal this charge.
Cleaning Fees
When students leave on-campus housing, they may be subject to cleaning fees if their on-campus room was left dirty.
Damage Charges
When students leave on-campus housing, they may be subject to damage charges for any damages to their on-campus room.
