A Space to Pause, Recharge, and Refocus
College can be overwhelming, and everyone deserves a place to take a break. ASCEND’s Low Sensory Lounges provide quiet, calming environments where students can step away from the noise and stimulation of campus to recharge.
These spaces are designed to support students who may benefit from a reduced sensory environment, including those with autism, ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing differences, or anyone who simply needs a peaceful place to decompress.

Space Expectations
To help maintain a peaceful environment for everyone, we ask that all users:
- Keep conversations to a minimum.
- Silence or use headphones for electronic devices.
- Respect others’ need for quiet and personal space.
- Leave the space clean for the next student.
These lounges are intended to be inclusive, welcoming spaces where every student can feel comfortable, supported, and able to recharge.
