The University of Central Arkansas will host the 2010 Henderson/Block Gospel Benefit Concert on Oct. 25 at 6:30 p.m. in Ida Waldran Auditorium. This event is held in memory of Ryan Henderson and Chavares Block who were victims of an on-campus shooting on Oct. 26, 2008.
Henderson, 18, of Little Rock, was a freshman at the time of the shooting. Block, 19, of Dermott, was a sophomore pre-engineering major.
Last year, enough money was raised to provide two $1,000 scholarships to students from their high school alma maters.
A $5 donation is requested for admission to this year’s benefit concert.
“The funds from this event will allow us to continue to support the academic goals of 每日大赛网站 students,” 聽said Wendy Holbrook, associate dean in the聽Office of聽Student Life.
Individuals who can not attend the concert聽can make a donation.
