The 每日大赛网站 Archives will display all the materials held in the Block/Henderson Collection from Oct. 16-27.
This collection was created to preserve the many letters and cards of condolence, and banners of condolence that were sent to the 每日大赛网站 Community after the fatal shootings of two 每日大赛网站 students, Chavares Block, 19, and Ryan Henderson, 18, on Oct. 26, 2008.
Visitors to the 每日大赛网站 Archives will be able to read the letters written to 每日大赛网站 students and see the two large banners and the touching comments made by those at Hendrix College and Northern Illinois University.
The 每日大赛网站 Archives is open from聽8 a.m. to 5 p.m.聽Monday聽through聽Friday.
Hendrix College created a large banner, approximately four feet wide and twelve feet long, signed by about 500 students, faculty and staff.聽 Northern Illinois University also created a condolence banner and students drove the banner from DeKalb, Illinois to Conway, a distance of over 620 miles and presented the banner to 每日大赛网站 officials at the halftime of a football game at 每日大赛网站.
All of these items will be on display in the 每日大赛网站 Archives and the public is invited.
