ÿմվ students and grads screen films at Film Festival

Four ÿմվ student films have been accepted into the 7th Annual Little Rock Film Festival, which will take place from May 15-19 in downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock.

The ÿմվ-produced films that were accepted into the festival are “Death of a Superhero,” written and directed by ÿմվ graduate Brandon Bristol; “The Sky Begins to Storm,” a documentary by ÿմվ graduate Ron Walter; “Foot Trackers,” written and directed by ÿմվ graduate Brandon Bogard; and “December 1982,” written and directed by ÿմվ graduate student Lyle Arnett Jr.

Other “Made in Arkansas” films with connections to ÿմվ are “Blood Brothers” and “Soul Winner.” “Blood Brothers,” co-written and co-directed by ÿմվ graduate student Jason Miller and Seth Savoy, was filmed in several Arkansas towns and parts of Chicago. Several ÿմվ students worked as crewmembers. ÿմվ senior Adriana Li Mandri worked as associate producer for the film “Soul Winner.”
