NOV. 5, 2015 UPDATE: Due to weather conditions predicted by the National Weather Service, the ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ Veterans Day Celebration will be held at the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center on the ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ campus.

The University of Central Arkansas and city of Conway will host the 18th annual Veterans Day Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 1:00 p.m. on the lawn outside Old Main on the campus of ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾.
Major General Ronald S. Chastain (retired) will be this year’s keynote speaker at the formal ceremony honoring veterans, which begins at 1:40 p.m.
The ceremony includes the presentation of two scholarships: the ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ Veterans Day Scholarship and the Tidwell ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ Veterans Scholarship by Mark and Tracy Tidwell in memory of SSGT Harry Midgett, U.S. Army and in honor of MSGT John Tidwell, U.S. Airforce. Both scholarships are awarded to full-time ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ students who are veterans or current service members.
The Master of Ceremony will be Captain Eric Ashmore of the ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ ROTC Bear Battalion. Music performed by the Five Star Brass of the 106th Army Band and Marvin Williams, ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾N coordinator and academic advisor.
Vendor booths will open at 1 p.m. and the ceremony will begin at 1:40 p.m. Free food and refreshments will be available.
