Committee Selection

  • We need your help. The Faculty Senate works to help populate and maintain the membership of faculty members on various University committees. These committees are important to our participation in how the University is run, and to representing faculty interests. This year many committees have been modified, added or deleted. That means this year it is even more important that we know your interests! Each Spring, we ask you to let us know which committees you have an interest in being a member of. We are a little late this year due to all the changes. If you are unsure what a particular committee does (or if you are eligible to serve on it or not), I urge you to look at the links on the University Committees webpage (). {If you are reading this before May 15th, you might want to review the committee revisions at http://uca.edu/facultysenate/files/2012/08/CHAPTER-SEVEN_For030816FSMtg-1.pdf. Once the Board of Trustees approves these changes, the committee web sites will be updated.} We can鈥檛 always place everyone where they would like, and some committees don鈥檛 have upcoming openings for membership. However, we appreciate your input on where you鈥檇 like to serve if the chance becomes available. Please take a moment to fill out the following checklist, including indicating your Department/College and your rank (including if you are tenured or not). Some positions require tenured individuals, so this information is important. Appointments for the next academic year are usually made in very late Spring or in early Fall semester, and you will be notified prior to appointment to see if you are still willing to serve in that capacity.
