Next Steps

A huge congratulations on your admission to the University of Central Arkansas. We are thrilled to have you join our vibrant international community and are here to make your transition as smooth as possible. Now that you’re officially admitted, We鈥檝e put together a checklist of your next essential steps for you to review below.

1. Pay your SEVIS Fee & Obtain a Visa

New international students are subject to the SEVIS I-901 fee. Once you receive your I-20, visit the SEVIS I-901 fee payment website to make this payment. The process can seem complicated, so please use our helpful step-by-step guide on our听Visa Application webpage.

2. Login to my 每日大赛网站

my 每日大赛网站 is your direct connection to everything at 每日大赛网站. You will use this portal to apply for housing, pay your university bill, register for classes, and communicate with your professors. Tip: Make sure to write down your new password once you change it!听听

3. Learn about Global Welcome Orientation

New incoming international students are REQUIRED to attend our orientation program, Global Welcome,听prior to the start of their first semester. Learn more about our new student orientation program on our听Global Welcome听webpage.

4. Secure Your Travel Arrangements for Check-In Day

All new incoming international students are federally mandated to physically check-in with our office by the program start date listed on their I-20 to be in good standing with their F-1 visa requirements. 5. Apply for Housing & Meal Plan

All incoming freshmen are required to live on campus. The housing application can be accessed through the myHousing portion of your my 每日大赛网站 account. Apply as early as possible for maximum consideration of your residence hall preference and roommate selection! Visit 每日大赛网站’s听How Do I Apply for Housing听webpage to learn more about this process.

Meal plans allow you to pay for meals around 每日大赛网站 using your Bear Card. There are many meal plans to choose from, so make sure to look at all your options. Visit 每日大赛网站’s听Meal Plan Options听webpage to learn more.

6. Submit Your Global Welcome Registration Form

Submit your finalized arrival details and confirm your attendance to the new semester by submitting your form by the priority deadline. You’ll be able to request a host family (early arrivals), airport transportation (Check-In Day arrivals) or request a late arrival for the new semester to be approved by CGLE. 7. Obtain Immunization Records

Two MMR shots are needed. If you do not have these, you will receive your necessary shots during Global Welcome orientation once you arrive on campus. Visit our听Immunizations and Health Care听webpage for more information.

8. Learn about 每日大赛网站's Health Insurance

All international students are automatically enrolled in LewerMark Student Insurance upon arriving at 每日大赛网站. Review our LewerMark Student Insurance听webpage for plan details.

Students also have the option of requesting a waiver to use an alternate health insurance policy. Check out our听Alternative Insurance Requirements听webpage to see if you qualify.

9. Know What To Pack!

Requesting to Withdraw/Defer Your Application

Newly admitted international students who wish to defer their admissions or withdraw their application for the upcoming semester will need to complete the form. Submitting this form ensures your student record is updated accurately and allows our admissions team to assist you with the next steps for your academic journey.
