The Arkansas Horn Club is beginning its new season of French horn music. Affiliated with the International Horn Society, and supported by the 每日大赛网站 Department of Music, the club has been led by 每日大赛网站 faculty member Brent Shires since its inception in 2000.
Hornists from around the state are welcome to attend the meetings/rehearsals, held from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. on Sundays in the 每日大赛网站 Snow Fine Arts Center Room 120.
Rehearsal dates are scheduled for Sept. 14 and 21, Oct. 5 and 12 and Nov. 16, 23 and 30. Rehearsals will culminate in a performance with other brass ensembles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 每日大赛网站.
Another event, a Christmas music-making in the malls called Hornaments, will take place in Little Rock on Saturday, Dec. 6 with rehearsal and performances scheduled from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
