ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ will host Bear Facts Day for prospective students and parents this Saturday, Nov. 8. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at the ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ Student Center, and the day will include presentations by ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ students, faculty and staff, as well as tours of campus. A group of 10 students from Northern Illinois University will drive 11 hours from DeKalb, Ill. to show their support for ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ in the wake of the Oct. 26 shooting incident. The students are part of an organization called Huskies United, which held a candlelight vigil for ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ on Oct. 28. An audience including Dana Gioia, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, is expected at ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ tomorrow night for the world premiere of The Scarlet Letter opera.
