The ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ College of Business hosted the 54th annual meeting of the Arkansas College Teachers of Economics and Business on Friday, Oct. 1 in the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center.
The organization was welcomed by Pat Cantrell, dean of the College of Business, and Joe Horton, president of the association and professor of economics at ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾.
The keynote address was given by Dr. Linda Beene, director of the Arkansas Department of Higher Education, and formerly an employee of ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾.
The luncheon sddress was presented by Arkansas State Banking Commissioner Bunny Adcock, also a former administrator at ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾.
At the business meeting Lauren Maxwell, ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ Department of Economics, Finance, Insurance and Risk Management, was elected program chair and chair of the executive committee.

Don Bradley participated as a member of the Panel on Family Business and Entrepreneurship
Lauren Maxwell and Nona French were members of the Panel on Business and Economic Education.
John Watt presented a paper on “Using Feature Films to Enhance Management Education.”
William Friedman presented a paper on “The Law of Comparative Advantage and Offshoring IT Jobs.”
Doug Isanhart presented a paper on “Soviet Agri-Politics in Central Asia or How to Destroy the Sugar Beet Industry of Kyrgyzstan.?
