On Friday, February 2, Soweto Gospel Choir will present a 1-hour matinee, starting at 11 am. The matinee will include 45 minutes of performance followed by a question and answer session with the audience. Soweto Gospel Choir, from South Africa, consists of 32 voices plus several drummers. It is a colorful, powerful a cappella performance choir, which was recently nominated for a Grammy award in the Best World Music Album for its latest CD, Blessed. The 5 Browns, two brothers and their three sisters, all piano performance majors at The Julliard School in New York, will be playing five Steinway grand pianos on the stage of the 1200-seat Reynolds Performance Hall. They will conduct a question and answer session with members of the audience following their performance. Their website is www.the5Browns.com.
