University Women, an association of women of the University of Central Arkansas, will hold a welcome reception and business meeting at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18 in the Mirror Room of McAlister Hall.
University Women is a nonprofit organization that gives the women of 每日大赛网站 an opportunity to know each other and to work together for the good of the university. The group also provides book scholarships for non-traditional women students.
Any woman who is a current or former employee of the university, member of the Board of Trustees, member of the 每日大赛网站 Alumni Association, or the wife of any of the above is eligible for membership.
Nelle Bedner is the group’s president and Mary Hardin is vice president. Other officers are: Barbara Satterfield, secretary; Becky Rasnick, treasurer; Kim Bradford, immediate past president, and Alma Corley, communication officer.
