Staff Senate has initiated a new program, Future-Ready Bears is a program designed to assist our fellow campus staff with back-to-school supplies. The program is open to all ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ and Aramark employees who meet the qualification requirements.
We are asking for your donations to assist with this effort. See the attached flyer for the supply wish list and monetary donation link. Please make donations by July 17th.
Look for the black donation bins in Bernard Hall, Burdick Hall, and Harrin Hall.

The BASKETBALL COURTS at the Thomas C. Courtway Student Recreation Center (T-Rec) will be closed for a reserved event.
The dates for the closures will be July 9-11, reopening at noon on July 11 and July 14-17, reopening at noon on July 17.

Hello everyone! The Tutoring and Academic Support Center (TASC) is now available for ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ students to make appointments for Summer 2 classes! We can do one-on-one or small group tutoring, either in-person or virtually, all available to ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ students at NO additional cost.
Subjects we offer tutoring in:
Biology
Chemistry
Math
Physics
Computer Science
Spanish
Psychology
And more!
For the student that wants to touch up their study and note-taking strategies, we offer Study and Testing Skills Tutoring. We also have Technology Tutoring to help with student-facing campus technology like Google and the Microsoft suite.
Making an in-person or virtual appointment is super easy. Just head to our website, click “Make An Appointment”, select the corresponding course, time and day, and the appointment is set. Students are also welcome for walk-in appointments in Torreyson 223.
These services are available Monday through Thursday from 12:00pm to 6:00pm and Fridays from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. The Graduate School will hold two commencement ceremonies on Saturday, August 8th at 9am and 12pm, and the university relies on the support of employees across campus to ensure that this event goes smoothly! Commencement Ceremony Times:
Saturday, August 8th at 9:00 am (Volunteers arrive at 7:30 am)
Saturday, August 8th at 12:00 pm (Volunteers arrive at 10:30 am)
More information about which graduates will attend each ceremony and their ticketing process is available at /commencement/.
Attire for volunteers is business casual (no jeans or athletic wear). Please wear your ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ name badge if you have one. If you do not have one, a commencement volunteer name tag will be provided for you.
Duties include passing out programs, scanning tickets, welcoming visitors, giving directions, assisting with accessible and reserved seating, answering questions, and assisting graduates, faculty and visitors.
Volunteers will need to report to Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center Room 101 to check in at their shift start time, which is 1 hour and 30 minutes before the ceremony. Some volunteers will be dismissed 30 minutes after the start of the ceremony, and others will be asked to stay until the ceremony concludes (expected ceremony time is 1 hour and 30 minutes). Please pay attention to your shift end time when signing up.
ÿÈÕ´óÈüÍøÕ¾ employees may choose to receive Staff Senate volunteer time (reported and tracked through HR leave banks) or flex time, if approved by their supervisor.
